A letter from the Congregation President
July 2007 Dear Friends,
Beth Tikvah Congregation is a Reform Jewish Community serving over 300 families today and many more over our 50 year history. We serve members living throughout the northwest suburbs. We’re blessed to have founding families continue to play an active role in our Congregation, and we have members who grew up with Beth Tikvah returning to raise their families as part of our Congregation.
We are very proud of the many Jewish Life Cycle Events that occur at Beth Tikvah throughout the year. These events as well as our weekly Shabbat Services are led by our wonderful clergy, Rabbi Max Weiss and Cantorial Soloist Ilana Axel. Please visit us for an upcoming Friday Night Service and experience first hand what you’re missing!
At Beth Tikvah, we care deeply about delivering a meaningful educational experience from pre-school all the way through continuing adult education. The Beth Tikvah Religious School has an enrollment of over 250 children, a multi-station computer lab to enhance Jewish learning, and we offer Hebrew and Judaica studies for High School credit! The educational activities of Beth Tikvah are directed by our new Congregational Educator, Rokki Parrinello. We’re thrilled to have Rokki join the team!
In addition to the above activities, we provide a wide variety of meaningful ways to become an active member of the congregation and the community. For example, through our Social Action Committee, we support a sister Temple in Krasnador, Russia. And we have a wonderful Outreach support organization as well. We also provide Jewish social activities for our members through our congregational affiliates Sisterhood, Men’s Club and LAFF (Life after Fifty-Five). So please consider visiting Beth Tikvah Congregation in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. I look forward to meeting you and personally welcoming you to Beth Tikvah.
Shalom,
MIKE
