William Faulkner has famously argued that “the past is never dead. It is not even past.” To listen to conversation and public statements today we must wonder is Auschwitz the past? The Present? Or The Future. Michael Berenbaum, who has edited two major works on Auschwitz and curated the award-winning exhibition “Auschwitz: Not Long Ago. Not Far Away,” will address the past, present and future of Auschwitz.
