SInce we started back to class in January, we began our new unit called, If Not Now, When? These words are part of Pirkei Avot 1:14 and are attributed to Hillel. Seventh graders studied Pirkei Avot 4:18 and learned about being a good friend. They also discussed Pirkei Avot 2:4 and discussed the importance of having empathy and not jumping to conclusions. One of their favorite ways to process the material is by performing skits where they interview each other about the qualities we are focusing on in class. I am impressed with the verbal and creative abilities these students possess!
