Welcome to Beth Tikvah Congregation!
Thank you for visiting the Beth Tikvah Congregation website! We are a dynamic, warm, and friendly Reform Jewish congregation located in the Northwest Chicago Suburbs where all are welcome. At Beth Tikvah Congregation (BTC) relationships matter most. Beth Tikvah Congregation is best known for its inclusive, involved, caring and compassionate community; for its excellent clergy, staff and lay leadership; for its phenomenal lay chairs; and for the overall positive difference BTC makes in our members’ lives.
At Beth Tikvah Congregation, we are dedicated to Jewish values and the pursuit of Holiness through engaging worship, joyous celebration of holidays and lifecycle events and by caring for one another. At the same time, we are committed to education for all ages, to Tikkun Olam (bettering our world), welcoming interfaith families, supporting interfaith relations, and furthering connections to the State of Israel, to Jewish summer camp, and so much more!
Whether you are new to the area, new to Jewish life, or a long-time veteran...whatever your background, level of observance, age, relationship status, sexual orientation, or gender identity... we are grateful for your interest in Beth Tikvah Congregation. We invite you to contact our Rabbi, Taron Tachman, take a tour of BTC, join us for Friday night Shabbat Services, or an upcoming program. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Book Club "The Great Kosher Meat War of 1902: Immigrant Housewives and the Riots That Shook New York City" by Scott Seligman.
Book Club "The Great Kosher Meat War of 1902: Immigrant Housewives and the Riots That Shook New York City" by Scott Seligman. Mon, July 11, 2022 @ 07:00 PM
In the wee hours of May 15, 1902, three thousand Jewish women quietly took up positions on the streets of Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Convinced by the latest jump in the price of kosher meat that they were being gouged, they assembled in squads of five, intent on shutting down every kosher butcher shop in New York’s Jewish quarter. Please Note: We will meet at the Temple for a deli dinner while discussing the book. Click Here

Book Club "The Jewish World of Alexander Hamilton" by Andrew Porwancher. Mon, August 1, 2022 @ 07:00 PM
In "The Jewish World of Alexander Hamilton", Andrew Porwancher debunks a string of myths about the origins of this founding father to arrive at a startling conclusion: Hamilton, in all likelihood, was born and raised Jewish. This radical reassessment of Hamilton’s religious upbringing gives us a fresh perspective on both his adult years and the country he helped forge. We will meet via zoom. Click Here
