Beth Tikvah Congregation
Thank you for visiting the Beth Tikvah Congregation website! We are a dynamic, warm, and friendly Reform Jewish congregation located in the Northwest Chicago Suburbs where all are welcome. At Beth Tikvah Congregation (BTC) relationships matter most. Beth Tikvah Congregation is best known for its inclusive, involved, caring and compassionate community; for its excellent clergy, staff and lay leadership; for its phenomenal lay choirs; and for the overall positive difference BTC makes in our members’ lives.
At Beth Tikvah Congregation, we are dedicated to Jewish values and the pursuit of Holiness through engaging worship, joyous celebration of holidays and lifecycle events and by caring for one another. At the same time, we are committed to education for all ages, to Tikkun Olam (bettering our world), welcoming interfaith families, supporting interfaith relations, and furthering connections to the State of Israel, to Jewish summer camp, and so much more!
Whether you are new to the area, new to Jewish life, or a long-time veteran...whatever your background, level of observance, age, relationship status, or orientation...we are grateful for your interest in Beth Tikvah Congregation. We invite you to contact our Rabbi, Taron Tachman, take a tour of BTC, join us for Friday night Shabbat Services, or an upcoming program. We look forward to meeting you soon!
About Us
Beth Tikvah Congregation counts around 250 families as members, hosts a vibrant and inclusive religious school, a very strong youth group, and one of the city's most respected early childhood learning centers. We are proud of how each member brings his/her/their own story to our diverse community—such as those who have a multi-generational history at our congregation and those new to the city or Beth Tikvah Congregation, of all ages and backgrounds who are seeking a Jewish community – a place to call home.
Learning
Our educational programs are first-class, with an early learning center onsite, one of the finest fully inclusive religious schools in our city, and a full adult education program. Our goal is to provide for a lifetime of Jewish learning. We also host a sizable library and media center, wherein our members may check out materials at no charge.
Prayer & Worship
We offer a dynamic blend of worship opportunities that span from the small and intimate to grand classical services incorporating music from our wonderful adult and children's choirs, our youth song leaders, and our instrumentalists.
Beth Tikvah Congregation welcomes all.
