The religious school committee is conducting a cold weather gear drive to benefit the Community Crisis Center in Elgin. The shelter houses up to 40 women and children and their Economic Crisis Program serves walk-in clients who often need emergency assistance with food and personal hygiene items.

2020 has been hard on so many people and we would love to end the year with a mitzvah.  We will be collecting items at Beth Tikvah Lobby. This event coincides with a school supply pick up. Please bring your donations as you visit school to pick up your next round of school supplies.

Community Crisis Center collects and distributes warm outerwear to those in need;
coats, gloves/mittens, hats, scarves etc.
The following items are most needed and should be new or in good condition*

•  Winter (parka type) coats for men, women & children**

•  Heavy weight gloves for men/boys

• Hats in neutral colors Snow pants & boots for children

• * Please no lightweight coats, sweatshirts or sweaters
  ** Men’s coats and women’s plus sizes are most needed
