Rosh Hodesh Gathering - Tammuz
Wednesday, June 29, 2022 • 30 Sivan 5782
7:00 PM - 8:30 PMTBDOUR ROSH HODESH GATHERING continues with EACH NEW MOON
Rosh Hodesh (New Moon) – the start of each Hebrew month - has been observed by Jewish women for centuries. Our Rosh Hodesh group at Beth Tikvah offers a unique opportunity to engage spiritually with those who identify as women, age 18 years and over, as we explore the narratives and trajectories of our own lives through the stories of Torah and other sacred texts.
Each gathering offers a Jewish source study informed by that month's seasonal qualities, then expands to include deeper discussion, shared experiences, enjoyable activities, and a simple sharing of food and friendship. Gatherings are formally 90 minutes, with an option to remain longer with those who wish.
Our next Rosh Hodesh Gathering is on Wednesday June 29 at 7 PM.
Location details will be emailed to all new and past registrants.
As the moon reflects the sun’s light to all on earth – so do we hope to be reflections for each other.
As the moon embodies both continuity and change – so do we hope to chart the changing phases of our lives, grounded in the age-old rhythms of nature and Jewish tradition.
