Summary |
This month our deep dive into Hillel's quote continues with the 2nd line "If I am for myself alone who am I". In week 1 we read a poem about listening deeply and the Jewish value of listening with intention to understand. We explored the barriers to listening and different approaches to respond in an effective manner to let the other feel heard and affirmed
In week 2, we looked at ways we interact in our circles of connections-siblings family, friends, acquaintances, temple/nfty/camp friends adult in congregational life and the community at large. We also identified our personal passions and how to focus our energy on social causes and how we can engage in social action and justice.
