Dear Families,
Our year has started off great! I have enjoyed getting to know your children and have enjoyed teaching them the Hebrew letters and their sounds. We are already in packet 3 of our curriculum and your children were so proud of themselves at how far they have come and how many letters they have already learned!!! - And they should be! They are eager to learn and encourage each other to read. Besides reading and doing various activities as a whole class on the white board your children are creating their very own Aleph - Bet book. As we learn each letter they are given one to decorate on paper with an object or drawing that matches the sound of that letter. For example: Shin = Shofar, Tav = Tape, Mem = Monster. We have also practiced writing the Hebrew letters, sometimes we use white boards/markers, pencil/paper and of course everyone’s favorite Play - Doh. I am looking forward to more Hebrew fun as our year progresses!
