We had an exciting unit learning about The Tower of Babel. The Torah explains that the people living in Shinor wanted to be as mighty as G-d, so they decided to build a tower up to the heavens. They only worried about how big it was, and lost interest in people getting hurt trying to build this tower.
As it got taller, G-d decided that it wasn’t good for the people, who all spoke one language at that time. G-d mixed up the languages and people who spoke the same language, dispersed to lands far away.
The yeladim were than broken up into groups of 3, and had to build their own Towers. Each group was given different type of building materials. They had to work together, cooperate and try to keep their towers from falling. Chag Hanukkah Sameach. Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year.
