Guidelines and Registration

We welcome guests to visit Beth Tikvah Congregation and to join us in our worship services, gatherings and activities. We ask that guests contact BTC before attending events with our synagogue community. For advanced registration, please contact our temple office at or call 847-885-4545 x114.

To mitigate the risk of COVID-19 and the Delta Variant, effective November 11, 2021, Beth Tikvah Congregation updated our regathering health and safety guidelines.

  • Masks are required to be worn over the nose and mouth for all who enter Beth Tikvah Congregation.
    • Masks remain optional for outdoor events.
    • Please note clergy and staff may remove masks while working alone in their offices.
  • In-person attendance at worship services and programs/events
    • Physical distancing is encouraged.
    • A virtual option will be available when possible.
    • Oneg Shabbat and Food Service continue to be suspended.
  • ECC and Religious School have separate policies (following DCFS, ISBE, and IDPH guidance for schools), which are still in effect during school hours.
  • If you are feeling ill or showing any COVID symptoms, please stay at home.
  • We strongly encourage eligible individuals to get vaccinated.

These guidelines are subject to change depending on the dynamic situation. Thank you for keeping our community healthy and safe. Your cooperation and support is greatly appreciated.

Currently all in-person attendance at worship services will be limited to vaccinated individuals. You are welcome to attend services if you are younger than 12 years of age and not eligible for the vaccine.

To keep everyone safe in our building, a mask is required when entering.

Please join us via our Live Stream if this impacts your ability to attend our in-person worship services.
