While it has been sad to be unable to get together in person, it has been a delight to connect with so many of you online for our Congregational Check-in, our Zoom Shabbat, our Zoom Torah Study, our Havdalah Service for teens and religious school alumni (hosted by Bradley Egel) and on a Zoom call I had with my 10th grade Confirmation class. It is also gratifying to see connections being made on our congregational Facebook page. If you are on Facebook and would like to join our page, please click here. I miss all of you and I invite you to please contact me to talk or email anytime.
As you will see below there are a number of offerings for you to connect online coming up. If you are unsure how to use Zoom or Facebook and would like some guidance, please send me an email (rabbi@beth-tikvah.org) and we can get you set up. Don’t forget--you can even call in with a touch-tone phone for Zoom calls even if you don’t own a device with a screen! I wish you a week of peace and health and I hope this week to speak or email with you or connect online.
I have been so touched by everyone’s resilience, good will, and good humor. We will need all of these and more in the coming weeks and we will continue to need each other. B-Mitzvah students and choir members have already been re-fueled by the joys of virtual re-connection. Please feel free to reach out to me as we learn of developing needs. Starting this week you can join one of my “iScreen w.Ilana” Zoom conversations about 1) being a college student right now (Wednesday) or 2) having a loved one in isolation far from our caring hands (Friday). Zoom information appears below. “iScreen w.Ilana” has been created to give space for small group conversations within our larger congregational family. BYO Ice Cream.
Beth Tikvah Congregation's strength has always been caring for each other. I have been inspired by so many congregants reaching out to offer help with shopping or cooking and other needs. Thank you to all who have shared ideas for keeping us connected and supported in this difficult time. Thanks to our staff and volunteers who have quickly mobilized to set up meetings and share resources via the internet. The leadership is working hard to develop creative programming to help us get through our days sheltering in place. Please remember we are all in this together and draw comfort from the knowledge that your Beth Tikvah family is here for you. Warm Regards, Deb

Please know that while we aren't able to be physically together we are "here" for your children and for you. Do not hesitate to reach out to us for whatever you might need at educator@beth-tikvah.org. Also, be on the lookout for emails about Virtual Religous School Class meetings!
This week Mandy has baked a great batch of gluten free oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and tried out some new Instant Pot recipes ~ along with working from home. Rokki has spent the week on Google Meet with her students, completed the Google Trainer Assessment, and became proficient with multiple board games with Reece and Asher.

Our ECC families had a fabulous Zoom Shabbat together. Each family had a Shabbat bag delivered to their homes. All the children received art & craft bags delivered to their homes and are making some great projects. Mrs. Hirsch is emailing our families story books she is reading. Watch your mailbox for more things to come.
