Dear Families,
We have had a busy start to our school year! We have learned about Hakarat Hatov (recognizing what is good around us) and Slicha (saying sorry). These values were tied to the holidays we learned (reviewed) about which were Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot. The children discussed and put into practice the correct way to say sorry. First, you realize you did something wrong, then apologize and finally, you think of a way to make it up to the person or not do it again. We have been practicing recognizing what is good around us as a class by starting class discussing something good that happened during the week. Moving forward, we will learn about more holidays such as; Hanukkah, Shabbat, and Tu B’shvat . The values we will learn about are; Bikkur Cholim (visiting the sick) Todah (thank you), and Tzedakah (charity).
