Summary |
We started off the New Year by asking the kids to write two goals they had for themselves. The goals could be sports, music, personal or even academic oriented. We used this as a way to introduce the next prayer we would be talking about - G’vurot. G’vurot is the second prayer in the Amidah making it a part of the central prayer in the service. We talked about its meaning about “giving life to all” and reviving the dead through acts of love and kindness. We will continue to learn about G’vurot for the next couple of weeks.
