This last week we officially changed focus from Comparative Religion to the Holocaust. It is, of course, on the one hand a very difficult subject, and on the other, a vitally important one. The first stage of our studies will be focused on the facts of what happened. By the end of this first phase the students will have a clear picture of the what, the when, and the how.

The Comparative Religion half of the year is almost done! We have looked long and hard into the defining elements of Judaism, examined Christianity, and just this last week wrapped up our (brief) appreciation of Islam and how similar - and yet very different- it is to Judaism. After the winter break we will spend just one week with Hinduism before moving on to the Holocaust Studies half of the year.
