8th & 9th Grade Yehadut
After getting off to a slow start this year - thanks to my hip surgery - the class is now deeply into the Comparative Religion section of our curriculum for the year. We had some interesting readings, and more interesting discussions on Judaism - what it is, and what it isn’t, and how those definitions can be different for each of us and yet still valid for all of us. We have also begun our investigation into Christianity - how is it similar to Judaism and how it’s different. The plan is to spend another lesson or two focusing on Christianity, before moving on to Islam, Hinduism, and time permitting maybe a very brief look at Buddism.
Should you have any questions - or suggestions - please don’t hesitate to contact me in person on Sunday after class, or anytime by email at mark.axel@beth-tikvah.org.
