High Holy Days Food Drive:
The ARK, helping Chicagoland Jews with a variety of comprehensive services, is best known for feeding bellies. Once again, Beth Tikvah Congregation will help stock their shelves with its annual High Holy Day Food Drive. We are also proud to support the Schaumburg Food Pantry with this food drive. Please fill grocery bags with food, toiletries, and/or cleaning supplies. Thank you for being a part of this food drive! A powerful love story with a purpose: to challenge Jewish customs concerning women, marriage, and equality. The award-winning author of Rashi's Daughters, Maggie Anton, has written a wholly transformative novel that takes characters inspired by Chaim Potok and ages them into young adults in Brooklyn in the 1950s, a time of Elvis & Marilyn, communist scares & polio vaccines, Jewish migration & American integration. Anshei Mitzvah:
Our Director of Congregational Learning and Clergy are pleased to offer another chance to become Bar/Bat/B Mitzvah: to learn Hebrew and to study the basics of Judaism. Hebrew classes will be virtual on Wednesdays with Fran Pearlman and the monthly Judaica classes will be taught by Rabbi, Fran and Cantor on a rotating basis. We invite all adults to take this opportunity to learn together and to share together. This is a two-year program culminating in a Anshei Mitzvah service led by the students. - Monday, October 10

Social Action Fundraiser - "Cruisin' for A Cause" Road Rally:
Beth Tikvah's Social Action Committee is pleased to be having an event to both raise money for social action causes and create a fun evening for everyone to enjoy. To guarantee both fun and togtherness, we will be having a Road Rally Scavenger Hunt followed by Dinner and Games back at Beth Tikvah. Road Rally participants will depart from the Temple and go on a fun car-based scavenger hunt, returning back to the Temple for Havdalah, dinner and games.- Saturday, October 22 5:30pm-10:00pm
