“Chazak! Chazak! Ve’Nitchazek!” “Be strong! Be strong! And we will be encouraged!” “Be Strong! Be strong! And we will make an effort!” “Be Strong! Be Strong! And together we will be strengthened!”
This proclamation traditionally chanted at the completion of a book of Torah, was recited together last week by our Beth Tikvah Torah Study Group via Zoom as we concluded the Book of Exodus. With so many English translations of the Hebrew Ve’Nitchazek, these words of strength refer both to the individual and to our collective. Our sacred teachings encourage us individually, promote effort towards our family & neighbors and strengthen us All each day.
We strengthen one another through our efforts to reach out, encourage and demonstrate our concern for one another. We are all stronger together. Let us maintain Hope in our hearts and take care of one another at this challenging time. I am praying for you and your family’s well-being. I invite you to reach out to me to talk or email anytime. Please be safe and let us continue to strengthen one another.
We will make it through this! Chazak! Chazak! Ve’Nitchazek!
