We discussed the Hebrew expression bal tashchit, the prohibition of wasting resources in nature.Students generated different actions they can take that will have a positive effect on the environment such as bringing a refillable water bottle to religious school. Last week we finished our unit of study called b’tzelem Elohim בְּצֶלֶם אֱלֹהִים, which translates to “in God’s image.” Our lessons are summarized below.
